Lawrence E. Cash

Cash, Lawrence E., longtime calf roper and team roper, and all-around cowboy, age 87, passed away Friday, June 3, 2011, surrounded by his family. Visitation Monday 1-8 pm, with family present 5-7, funeral service 10 am Tuesday, both at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. He was preceded in death by two sons, Larry Cash and Lester Cathcart Cash; his parents, James and Cora Cash; six sisters; and five brothers. He is survived by his wife Clara Mae; children Jimmy (Lisa) Cash, Timmy (Lori) Cash, Betty (Allen) Simon; grandchildren Penny (Rick), Lesley (Troy), Brandon, Jeremy, Jordan, Chelsea (C.J.), Chloe, Malea; great-grandchildren, Dakota, Shalan, Chyan, Chandler, Lily, and Leah. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202.
