Lawrence Atkinson

Douglass – Atkinson, Lawrence “Bud”, age 95, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2011. Visitation 10-1pm Tuesday at Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home, 507 S. Maple, Douglass, KS. Graveside service to follow at 2pm Tuesday at Douglass Cemetery. Bud was preceded in death by his parents, James and Hazel Atkinson; wife, Helen Atkinson; siblings, Jerry Atkinson, Jack Atkinson, Lucille Warren, Helen Baumberger and Eleanor Kendall. He is survived by 11 nieces and nephews; Cheri Lundberg, Jeanine Gunn, Jacquline Massagee, Madeline Valgenti, Stephen Warren, Scott Warren, David Kendall, Tom, Mike, Mark and Lance Baumberger; close friend, Jeannie Schloctermeier. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Douglass Senior Center, 124 W. 4th St., Douglass, KS 67039.
