Larry Duane Swayne

Larry Duane Swayne was born June 17, 1936 in Maumee County, Arkansas, the son of Andrew Louden and Myrtle Mae (Doggett) Swayne. He proudly served in the USAF from 1955 honorably retiring in 1976. He married Colleen Mary Hathaway on July 19, 1958.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son Daniel Edward, brothers Doyt, Chester, Ivan, Dallas, and Darold. Survived by Colleen, his wife of 64 years, his children Patricia Swayne (wife of Daniel), Kathryn Jo Noah (Michael), Stephen Douglas (Mindy), Mary Beth, Jeffrey Scott (Tracy), Lisa Ann, Ericka Ruth, Andrew Louden II, Curt Alan (Julie), brothers and sisters Dean, Dorothy, Shirley, Denis, brother-in-law David E. Hathaway (Ann); 27 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren (and 3 in the oven), numerous nieces & nephews, great nieces & great nephews.

Larry was a fourth degree Knights of Columbus – devout in his faith, his marriage, and his family.

Rosary Tuesday March 22nd 6:30 PM, Funeral Mass Wednesday March 23rd 10:00 AM, both at St. Michael the Archangel Parish, 525 E Main St, Mulvane KS.
