Larry Ray Rickard

Apr 28, 1946 — Aug 20, 2026

Wichita, Kansas

In loving memory of Larry Rickard, who peacefully departed this world on August 20, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on April 28, 1946, in Wichita, Kansas, Larry lived a life full of love, dedication, and service to others.

Larry was the beloved son of Visia and Ray Rickard, who predeceased him and shaped the compassionate and hardworking man he became. He married the love of his life, Gerry, on July 1, 1972, and together they built a beautiful family until Gerry's passing. Larry and Gerry shared a remarkable bond that was a testament to enduring love and partnership.

As a proud Army Veteran, Larry served his country with honor and integrity. Upon returning to civilian life, he dedicated his career to Globe Engineering, where his commitment and expertise were valued until his retirement. His colleagues remember him not only for his technical skill but also for his kindness and camaraderie.

Larry's hands were never idle, and his heart was always full. He had a passion for woodworking, crafting pieces that were as beautiful as they were practical. His creations, infused with care and attention to detail, will be cherished by his family for generations to come.

He leaves behind a loving family who will carry on his legacy: his sister Sharon Kroupa and his daughters, Dena (and her husband Doug) Kreutzer, Dawn (and her husband John) Snyder, and Melissa Rickard, who will forever hold him in their hearts. Larry was a proud grandfather to Haley Helm (and her husband Dakota) and a doting great-grandfather to Hazel and Cooper Helm. His family was his pride and joy, and he took great pleasure in watching them grow and thrive.

There will be a visitation for Larry at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S Seneca on August 31, 2026, at 12:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate a life well-lived and a man well-loved.

A private family burial will follow.
