Kristina Lynn Timpy

Kristina Lynn (Gittrich) McDaniel, 49, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away on June 20, 2026. Kristina was born on October 3, 1976, in Wichita, Kansas, to Mark and Diane Gittrich. She was preceded in death by her mother, Diane Gittrich.

Kristina's life was a testament to courage, compassion, and service. At the age of 13, she battled and defeated leukemia, an experience that inspired her lifelong desire to help others. She went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Wichita State University and dedicated her career to caring for those in need. Her kindness, strength, and commitment to her patients left a lasting impact on countless lives.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Keith McDaniel; her father, Mark Gittrich; her brothers, Shawn Sobanski, Mark Gittrich II, Gregory Gittrich, and John Gittrich; her sister, Suzanne Gittrich; and her ten cherished nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.

Affectionately known as the "4x4 Nurse," Kristina had a passion for Jeeps, concerts, mushrooms, and spending time with family and friends. She found joy in helping others and was happiest when surrounded by the people she loved. Whether offering a helping hand, sharing a laugh, or providing comfort during difficult times, Kristina made everyone feel valued and cared for.

Although she had no children of her own, she embraced her role as aunt with boundless love and enthusiasm. Her nieces and nephews were a source of great pride and joy in her life.

Kristina will be remembered for her resilience, generosity, and unwavering love for others. The example she set through her strength, compassion, and selflessness will continue to inspire all who knew her.

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of her family and friends."

A memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday July 6, 2026 at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary 115 S. Seneca Wichita, KS 67213.
