Kimry Miner

Kimry Leigh Miner was born December 5th, 1984 in Wichita, Kansas. She passed away, surrounded by her family, on April 16th, 2021. She was a beloved daughter, cherished sister and adoring mother of three sons.

Sadly, she was preceded in death by her son, Grant William Fortine. Also, by grandparents David and Beulah Miner and Ivan and Darlene Ekstrom. She is survived by her sons Myles and Mason Fortine, parents Ken and Janet Miner and sisters Cricket Miner and Jacey Miner.

A Memorial Service will be held in her honor on Monday, April 26th at 2:00PM with Officiant Caleb McDowell at Smith Family Mortuaries, 1415 North Rock Road in Derby, Kansas.

Although her time on this earth was short, Kimry’s life was filled with many extraordinary moments and her family and friends will cherish the memories of those shared forever. She was famously funny and full of laughter. Her children share her sense of humor and have many hilarious memories of her to carry with them. But Kimry will be remembered most for her rare ability to love wholeheartedly and be generous with everything she had. Making those she loved feel supported and cared for was always of the upmost importance to her and she was amazing at it. She will be so greatly missed but, truly, can never possibly be forgotten.
