Kimberly R. Seal "Kim", 56, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018. Visitation is 2 - 8 pm Sunday, November 11, with family greeting friends 5-7 pm at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Services will be at the United Methodist Church in Douglass, Kansas on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 11:00am, with interment at the Douglass Cemetery following. Kim was born November 7, 1962 in Winfield, Ks., to Keith and Rometa Seal. Kim worked at Ember Hope/Youthville for nearly 10 years and thoroughly loved her job. She also loved spending time with her family and soul mate Robert (Rob) Michel. Kim married Scott Haaga in 1986. They would later divorce. To this marriage was born one son, Galen Kent Haaga. She also had a step son Allen Morrell Haaga, whom she helped raise. Galen preceeded his mom in death on July 7, 2012. He was the world to Kim. Until Her passing, Kim grieved for him. Her life revolved around Galen for 23 years. Kim will be laid to rest next to her beloved son, Galen, at the Douglass Cemetery. Kim is survived by her parents Keith and Rometa Seal of Douglass, Shelly (Jeff) Simon of Rose Hill, Valerie (John) Foland of Wichita, Christopher Seal (Carolyn) of Andover, Lanette "Lanie" (Mike) Arkansas City, Ks. Nephews: Jordan (Samantha) Foland of Wichita, Brice (Nicole)Simon of Rose Hill, Josh (Kimberly) Foland of Wichita, Casey Gillock of Arkansas City, Braiden Seal of Rock Nieces: Brooke (Tom) Heumann of Rose Hill, Kasey (Brian) Gee of Wichita, Carissa Seal of Emporia, Sarena Seal of Augusta, Kayla Gillock of Arkansas City. Great nieces and nephews: Kadance and Blake Heumann; Quentin, Brooks and Brynlee Gee, Braxton Bigley; Charlie, Austyn, Krosbie Foland; Peyton Simon; Jacob Gillock; Adyn and Jesse Reed, Kye Russell. Kim also has numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Kim loved spending time with her family, friends and watching sports, especially KU basketball.

A special thanks to Kim's Aunt Nellie who was a committed and excellent care giver throughout her illness.
