Kim A. Solomon, born September 25, 1966, to Arthur and Sally Thorne, passed away peacefully at home on March 22, 2026. She was surrounded by loved ones through her final days.
Though she was only here for a short 59 years, she filled those years with many lifetimes of memories. One of her favorite things to do was care for others. She never met a stranger, and her arms were always open to welcome someone new. She truly embodied the idea that "family is who you choose."
Kim and her husband, Paul, spent the last two years fulfilling one of her dreams. They opened a food truck business that took off like a rocket. No doubt a large part of the success was due to Kim's personality and cooking. Anytime Kim was not working, she was spending time with family-hosting dinners and pool parties or making plans for the next family gathering. Kim lived such a big life that there are not enough words to truly encompass everything about her.
Kim was preceded in death by her parents and grandchildren, Kaden and Echo.
Kim is survived by her husband of 25 years, Paul Solomon; daughters, Jessica (Aaron) Glover and Miranda (Tim) Massey; son, Rich (Christina) Schroeder; grandchildren, Bentley Glover, Hendrix Glover, Kayelynne Glover, Braxton Massey, Coleson Massey, Aurora Massey, Kristien Schroeder, Kamren Schroeder, and Kylen Schroeder; parents-in-law, Frank and Sue Solomon; brother, Ken Thorne; sister, Frankie Lyden; 28 nieces and nephews; 35 great-nieces and great-nephews; and an innumerable number of "chosen" family members.
To honor Kim's final wishes, no services will be held. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
