64, passed away Thursday, August 8th, 2024. She was born March 22nd, 1960 to Frank Hopkins and Carolyn (Kretz) Hopkins in Salina, Kansas.

Kerri was part of the Southeast High School class of 1978. She married Howard Forsberg in 1985. Kerri attend Wichita State University obtaining her Masters degree in Special Education with an emphasis on English as a second language. She spent the majority of her teaching career in the Special Education classroom at Caldwell Elementary School. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, painting, drawing, and listening to music. She enjoyed watching sports, especially the Minnesota Vikings and WSU Basketball.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Carolyn Hopkins; brother-in-law, Russ Miller

Kerri is survived by her husband, Howard Forsberg; children, Cody (Jillian) Forsberg, Ben Forsberg; siblings, Caryn (Chuck) Eads, Frank (Abby) Hopkins, Rebecca Miller; and grandchildren Griffin, Phoebe, and Felix.

Memorial Service: 10:00 am, Friday, August 23rd, 2024 at Smith Mortuary, Derby 1415 North Rock Road Derby, Kansas 67037. Inurnment to directly follow at the Rose Hill Cemetery.
