Dale Shelton

Derby - Shelton, Dale, age 80, co-founder of Shelton Body Shop, passed away February 21, 2018. Dale was born July 9, 1937 in Houston, MO. He was a loving husband, father, grandpa, brother, and a friend to many.

He loved cars, camping, fishing, boating, horses and old tractors.

He is preceded in death by his wife of almost 60 years, Carolyn; parents, Milburn F. and Jennie (Bates) Shelton; and siblings, Wade Shelton, Freda Mullins, Jerry Shelton.

Dale is survived by his sons, Kevin Shelton and Brad (Tracie) Shelton; grandchildren, Lakin, Lexie, and Luke; brothers, James Shelton (Sandy), Houston, MO and Bob Shelton (Judy) Licking, MO, and many loving extended family members.

Visitation will be from 1:00pm - 7:30pm with family greeting from 4:00pm - 7:30pm Thursday evening March 1st; Brad and Tracie Shelton’s Family is hosting a public rosary at 7:30pm following the visitation. The visitation and rosary will be held at Smith Mortuary 1415 N. Rock Rd, Derby. Funeral will be held at 1:00pm Friday, March 2nd at South Rock Christian Church, 900 S. Rock Rd. in Derby, KS.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions have been established with South Rock Christian Church, 900 S Rock Rd, Derby.
