70, passed away Friday, May 3rd, 2024. He was born December 16th, 1953 to Clarence Merchant and Ruth Richardson Merchant in Wichita, Kansas.

Kenneth demonstrated a commendable tenure of 28 years at Boeing, where he dedicated his professional efforts. In his leisure time, he pursued his lifelong passion for bowling, displaying a consistent enthusiasm for the sport. Additionally, Mr. Merchant maintained an unwavering loyalty as a Yankees fan throughout his life. Although he may have been reserved in expressing it, he possessed a genuine fondness for animals. His greatest source of joy was derived from spending quality time with his grandchildren. Furthermore, he diligently engaged in coin collecting, a hobby he pursued until the end of his days.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Merchant, Sr., brother Richard Merchant; sister Peggy Hinkle; brother, Clarence Merchant, Jr.

Kenneth is survived by his mother, Ruth Merchant; children, Jason and Jeremy Hufford, Clinton Merchant, Christina DePriest, Cheryl Roberts, Chad Merchant; 12 grandchildren; siblings, Elaine Linthicum and Larry Merchant and many other loving family and friends.

Visitation: Thursday, May 9th, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 South Seneca, Wichita, Kansas 67213. Funeral Service: 11:30 am, Friday, May 10th, 2024 at West Side United Methodist Church 1313 W Lydia St, Wichita, Kansas 67213. Interment to follow at White Chapel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023 and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, JDRF, 200 Vesey Street, 28th Floor, New York, NY 10281.
