Bentley, Kenneth Edward, Sr., 89, passed away on October 14, 2015. He was born in Coyville, Kansas on November 17, 1925, to Albert and Wretha (Gibson) Bentley. He married Nancy Edwards in 1944, and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary just before her death in 1994. He retired as a Master Sergeant from the US Air Force in 1964, after serving in Korea and WWII. After retirement, he worked as a foreman at Learjet for 24 years. He was a 32nd degree Mason, an active member of the American Legion, and managed the Derby, KS VFW for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Harvey and Clarence, sister Marie, wife Nancy, and son Kenneth, Jr. Survived by sons Ron (Gayle) of Park City, Ks; Terry of Wichita, Ks; and daughter Lisa (David) Squier of Wichita, Ks; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation 1-8 p.m. Thursday, family present 6-8; funeral service 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 16, both at Smith Family Mortuary, Derby, followed by burial at El Paso Cemetery, Derby, Ks.
