On 12/15/02, Kaj came into this world the most perfect precious blue eyed boy. He was provided with all of the love, support and encouragement that he could do anything in the world and even be the best at it. He proved this to be true—except for soccer (he was horrible at soccer,) oh and keeping his room clean… That wasn’t gonna happen.

He was an amazing little daredevil moto and supercross rider, cleaned up a bracket in the Derby wrestling tournament when he was in elementary school, and even with all that he grew up much of his younger years often being bullied and tormented because of his weight. With the beautiful, sensitive soul he had—sticks and stones did not work for him.

When this kid found music, he started his journey to healing and loving himself. He focused on himself and lost over 100 pounds, just by taking care of himself with good food and beast workouts at the gym. Anyone who has grown with Kaj seen this amazing transformation. You would think after all that work and self control and motivation, that he would live happily ever after... But the story doesn’t end there. Now that Kaj fit the social and visual standard among his peers, he was now confident enough to start being a teen—making friends, turning the heads of some pretty cute girls, experiencing parties and parties that included drugs. Eager to fit in, he joined in and just got lost in the glamorization and the attention/acceptance he received via social media and in his personal life.

He found immense joy in creating his own music. Ultimately 10 dollars ended his life. Everything can be laced with Fentanyl. The “game” has changed and it’s ending lives. Please don’t let your mom find you the way I found my son—lifeless and forever 19. If you or someone you know struggles with addiction, reach out for help. And if you feel like everyone’s doing it, please also remember that everyone is also taking the risk of losing their lives when they take drugs. Kaj is not just another number—he made a choice, and ultimately it ended his precious life.

We will always advocate for you and always love you way past the moon.
