Brewer, Keaton Mackenzie,
age 29, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016. Keaton is a 2005 graduate of Derby High School where he was an active member of DECA and Student Council. He went on to receive his Bachelor’s from Kansas State University and his Master’s in Public Policy from American University. While attending K-State he was a member Phi Gamma Delta and served as the 2008 president. After graduating from K-State he moved to Washington DC to serve as a Senate intern. During this experience he fell in love with the city and decided to make it his home. He was currently working as an account manager for CEB in the DC area. Keaton is survived by his parents Charles and Gina of Derby; sister Kamille (Matt) Soutee of Tuttle, OK; grandmother, Janis Bowser of Holton, KS. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, G.M. Bowser and grandparents, John and Billie Brewer. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many amazing friends. Visitation 1-8pm; family greeting 6:30-8pm, Tuesday, July 5 at Smith Mortuary-Derby, 1415 N. Rock Road. Funeral 11AM Wednesday, at Woodlawn United Methodist Church, 431 S. Woodlawn Blvd in Derby.
