Kathy Lloyd

Kathleen Carol (Ball) Lloyd was born on April 10th, 1951 in Wichita, KS at St. Francis Medical Center.

Kathleen “Kathy” was the oldest of five children and graduated from Southeast High School in 1969. That same summer, while working at Joyland Amusement Park, Kathy met Mike Lloyd and fell in love. They later married on August 28, 1971 at the Plainview Baptist Church in Plainview, KS.

Kathy had a huge and caring heart and was easy to love. Those who knew her will miss her infectious laugh and quirky sense of humor. Her smile alone would fill the room. Kathy had a passion for gardening and a general love of being outdoors. She also had love for listening to and playing music.

Kathy held numerous jobs within USD 259 with her most recent position being a Para educator at Greiffenstein Alternative Elementary School.

Kathleen Carol (Ball) Lloyd passed away Tuesday, March 1st, 2022 at William Newton Hospital in Winfield, KS surrounded by family.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Michael W. Lloyd, Wichita, KS and later Oxford, KS; children: Her eldest daughter Stacey Stoops and husband Kyle Stoops of Halstead, KS; her middle daughter Melanie Lloyd and husband Brad Farlinger of Woodbridge, VA; her youngest daughter Amanda Pozehl and husband Clint Pozehl of Andale, KS; grandchildren: Kenneth Pozehl, Savanah Stoops, and Erin Pozehl.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents Robert William Ball and Grace Beverly Ball of Mulvane, KS.

Memorial Services will be at 2pm, Thursday, March 10th, 2022 at the Oxford Christian Church in Oxford, KS with Pastor Danny Ginn presiding.
