Kathi Kennard

Kathleen Diane Kennard, 73, died Tuesday, February 14, 2023.

She graduated from Maize High School in 1967. In high school she was a drum majorette and played clarinet. Kathi married Jim Kennard on October 25, 1969. 13 years later they were blessed with twins, Mandy and Jamie, then 3 years later another little girl, Kasey. She was a former member of the Maize, KS VFW. Kathi retired from Via Christi, St Francis in 2009. She enjoyed baking, scrapbooking, cross stitching, and making clothes for her children. She loved spending time with her family.

Visitation, with the family present will be Sunday, February 19, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm with Funeral Service: 1:00 pm, Monday, February 20, 2023, both at Smith Mortuary, 1415 North Rock Road Derby. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Susan Kincaid.

Kathi is survived by her sister, Julie Kincaid; husband, James Kennard; three children, Mandy Jones (Jason), Jamie Rich (Thomas), Kasey Anderson (Mitch); six grandchildren, Corbyn Jones, Amyra Jones, Trendyn Jones, Keltyn Jones, Connor Anderson, and Mason Anderson; three step grandchildren, Britanie Cotten (Michael), T.J. Rich (Myranda), and Tyler Rich; four step great granddaughters, Ellie Cotten, Bridget Cotten, Lynleigh Rich, and Myla Rich.
