Katherine Marie Ashley-Smith

Ashley-Smith, Katherine Marie, age 56, died March 18 at Wesley Medical Center. Memorial service 10am Thursday at Smith Mortuary, Derby. She was born October 8, 1956 in Wichita. A 32-year employee of Beechcraft, she retired in 2010. Preceding her in death were her mother, Lorretta Gardner Ashley; stepmother, Doris Benjamin Ashley; stepson, John Smith. She is survived by her husband, Lance L. Smith of Derby; father, Keith E. Ashley of Derby; brother, Philip (Janet) Ashley of Fall River, KS; stepbrother, Gary (Sue) Benjamin of Derby; stepchildren, James (Terri) Smith of Wichita and Janelle (Chris) Balzer of Wichita; step granddaughters, Whitney and Jasmine Smith; step great-granddaughter, Shania Smith.
