Karl F. Whitmore

Karl Franklin Whitmore, 93, retired Boeing Aircraft electronic technician, died Thursday, September 25, 2014. He is preceded in death by his wife, Loretta; son, Daryl Whitmore; daughter, Karla Whitmore. Survivors include his daughter, Carol Mayfield of Grove, Oklahoma; sons, Tim Whitmore and his wife Juanita of Wichita and David Whitmore of Wichita; sister, Ava Bates of Topeka; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be from 2-8pm Monday, September 29, 2014 at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca. The funeral service will be held at 2pm, Tuesday, September 30, 2014, also at the mortuary. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery with military honors conducted by Ft. Riley Honor Guard. A memorial is established with Victory in the Valley.
