Karen Sue Dickerson

Karen passed away Jan 23, 2021. She was born April 2, 1951 to John and Bernice Dickerson. Karen graduated from Derby High School in 1969 and went to Butler County Junior College. She later served active duty in the U.S. Army in Germany. After active duty, she enrolled at WSU to become a dental hygienist, while serving in the reserves. Karen's patients were like family to her - she enjoyed the kids and many of them in later years brought their own kids to her. Karen was a proud Shocker who enjoyed watching the Shox on TV with her various fur babies by her side. Karen was preceeded in death by her Mother, Bernice Dickerson, and longtime friend Charlotte Love. She is survived by her father, John Dickerson; siblings, Richard (Terry), Jeff (Debbie) Lori (Keith) and niece, Charity; nephews Brandon and Trenton; faithful fur baby Archie; the entire Love family and numerous friends. Service to be in the spring at Winfield Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with the Kansas Humane Society.
