Junior Peterson

Wichita - Peterson, Junior

88, passed away Friday, September 13th, 2024. He was born August 22nd, 1936 to Hans Peterson and Faye Hufferd Peterson in Savonburg, Kansas.

Junior married Judy Peek on May 28, 1971 in Wichita. Junior was a big fan of the Kansas Jayhawk Basketball team. He also enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden, landscaping his lawn, and walking with friends. Junior worked for Coleman as an assemblyman for many years, retiring in the early nineties. After retiring, he mowed lawns all around West Wichita. He was a loyal, faithful member of Park Place Ministries....he LOVED his church, church family and the LORD.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hans and Faye (Hufferd) Peterson; siblings, Charlie (Paula) Peterson, Katherine (William) Peterson-Barnes, Karen Hulett.

Junior is survived by his wife, Judy Peterson; children, Brenda (Curtis) Strous, Robert Peterson, Kathy Hitchcock; step-children, Juanita (Jim) Jones, Tammy (Ronnie) Jones; siblings, Ann Cox; grandchildren, great-grand children, nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service: 1:00 pm, Thursday, September 19th, 2024 at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 South Seneca Wichita, Kansas 67213.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Park Place Ministry Center.
