June H. Heavener, of Derby, age 76, retired WalMart sales associate, died Thursday, April 14, 2011. Visitation 1-8 PM Sunday, with family receiving friends 5-7 PM, Funeral Service 10 AM Monday, both at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. June is preceded in death by her husband, Jack; parents, Fern & Rose Hopwood; and a granddaughter, Kelly. Survivors: sons, James (Linda) Heavener, Russell (Sharon Allman) Heavener, all of Derby; brothers, Arthur (Dana) Hopwood, Frank (Robin) Hopwood; grandchildren, Katrina, Stacy and Tracy.
