June Claar

Claar, June, 89, passed away Monday, September 15, 2014. She was born June 18, 1925 to Kenneth and Zelma (Young) Thomas in Logan, KS. June was known for her delightfulness. She was a porcelain artist and teacher. June was a dedicated member of Emporia Avenue Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 59 years, Bard Norman Claar; and all 8 of her siblings. June is survived by her children, Shirley (Bill) Goben, Kee (Karen) Claar, and Linda (Mike) Bradburn; 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. Memorial service: 6 pm, Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Emporia Avenue Church of Christ. Memorial contributions may be made to York College, Maude Carpenter Children’s Home, or Emporia Avenue Church of Christ.
