Lopez, Julian M., 83, passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021. He was born on October 21, 1937 to Julian and Luz Lopez.
He served in the U.S. Army with the Charlie Company 1st BG 12th Infantry, Ft. Lewis, Washington as a heavy weapons infantryman.
He was employed at Cudahy Packing Company for 22 years and employed at the United States Post Office as a mail carrier and retired from there after 22 ½ years. Julian is proceeded in death by his parents, Julian and Luz, sisters, Salome Lopez, Victoria Orsbon, Theodora Palacio, Esther Addison, Irene Arellano; brother, Jesse Lopez. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rosa P. Lopez, son, Julian Lopez Jr., daughter, Lupita Lopez, 5 grandchildren, Julian Lopez Dominguez, Audriana Lopez Shaffer, Natalie Lopez Klenda, Arai Cobos-Lopez, Avalina Cobos-Lopez; Sisters, Maria Elena Flores, Dolores Kennard, brother, Mac Orsbon.
Visitation 5-7 pm, Thursday, October 7 with family present at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca, Wichita, KS . Rosary to follow at 7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial: 10 am, Friday, Oct. 8th, at St. Mary’s Cathedral of Immaculate Conception, 430 N. Broadway, Wichita, KS.
