Judy Fay Porter

Judy Fay Porter, 73, passed away Friday, February 8, 2019. She was born December 15, 1945 to Virgil Link and Bonita (Matthews) Thompson in Mooreland, Okla. She was an avid Law Enforcement Volunteer with Derby Police Department Citizen's Police Academy Alumni, was a Wichita P.D. CPAA, and a Sedgwick County Sheriff CPAA. She enjoyed playing board games with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bonita; father, Virgil; and grandparents, Maude (Wyckoff) Matthews and Otis Matthews, who raised her from a young age to High School Graduation. Judy is survived by her husband, James "Jim"; three daughters, Raynell McGuire, Julynn Dillard and Jamie McKee; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one grandson on the way. Visitation: Wednesday, February 13, 2019, from 5:00 - 8:00 pm and Funeral Service: 1:00 pm, Thursday, February 14th, 2019 both at Smith Mortuary, Derby 1415 N. Rock Rd Derby, KS 67037. Interment to follow at Resthaven Cemetery, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Law Enforcement Memorial Fund, 450 F St. NW, Washington, DC 20001.
