Juanita Lee Parks

Juanita Parks, 85 of Derby, KS passed away peacefully on September 12, 2023 after a hard fought battle with dementia.


Juanita was born to Hook and Clara Miller in Belva Oklahoma on April 3, 1938. She was the oldest of seven children and the only girl. On December 28, 1957 she married her lifelong love, Dan Parks . They were married 61 years before Dan passed. She had a very successful career at Boeing before retiring in 1995. Juanita was very passionate about her family. She hosted weekly Sunday dinners, countless pool parties, and always welcomed her guests with open arms. After her retirement, if she wasn’t somewhere supporting her kids or grandkids, you could find her on the golf course.


Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Parks , her brother Marvin Miller and great granddaughter, Brinley Rose Boeckman.


Juanita is survived by her children, Dana (Charlie) Brown and Tim (Stacy) Parks; grandchildren, Matt (Stacy) Martindale, Nikki (Adam) Boeckman, Addie Parks, Trace Parks and Tyler Kahmann; great-grandchildren Alayna, Avery, Rylie, Macy and Crew. She is also survived by five of her six brothers, Bill (Paula) Miller of Mustang, Ok, Allen (Lea Ann) Miller of Waynoka, OK, sister-in-law Sally Miller of Waynoka, OK, Larry (Cindy) Miller of Wagoner, OK, Walt (Brenda) Miller of Pampa, TX and Donnie (Jimmie Lou) Miller of Enid, OK.
