Joyce M. Srader, was born on April 10, 1936 to Ira and Clara(Eledge)Martin in London, Arkansas. She passed away Thursday, January 5, 2012 at the age of 75. She attended grade school in Londonand was bussed for high school to Russellville where she graduated. Joyce moved to Wichita in 1954 working in restaurants until she was hired in 1965 by Beech as a certified solderer, retiring as a Quality Control Inspector after 33 years of service. She was a life member of the VFW Women’s
Auxiliary, a member of Faith Lutheran Church since 1967, past Sunday School secretary-treasurer and member of the Women’s Missionary League. On January 12, 1967, she married Mel Srader. They enjoyed traveling, bowling tournaments, car shows and was a charter member of
“Harley Riders of Kansas” cycle club. Joyce is preceded in death by her parents and only sibling, B.J. Martin. Survivors: husband, Mel;sons, Randy Kendrick (Carla) of Winfield, David Kendrick (Pamela) of Wichita; step-sons, Jerl Srader (Betty) of Derby, Terry Srader (Kathy)of Wichita; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
