Joyce Sherwin

Sherwin, Joyce M., 88, beloved mother, Grandma J and Button, died January 2, 2025. She retired in 2007 after 35 years as the Director of Noah’s Ark Child Care Center and Preschool. She loved her family, especially her grand and great-grandchildren. She’d travel anywhere to watch them perform or play sports.

Joyce was born June 25, 1936 in Dighton, KS, the daughter of William "Dale" and Blanche McMillen. On Sept. 1, 1957 she married Dennis M. Sherwin in Dighton.

Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Cox, Wichita; daughter-in-law, Cindy Sherwin, Rose Hill; brother, John McMillen, Omaha, Nebraska; grandchildren, Dylan (Amy), Devin (Erin), and Damian (Emily) Cox, and Danielle Sherwin. Great-grandchildren, Carter, Kate and Crew Cox. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Troy Sherwin, son-in-law

Tim Cox; grandson Christopher Sherwin and brother, Kent McMillen.

Visitation will be Thursday January 9th with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Culbertson-Smith Mortuary; Funeral Service 10 a.m. Friday January 10th, Glenn Park Christian Church.
