Joyce M Ruge

Joyce M. Ruge, age 73, of Mulvane, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and retired Boeing Company employee, lost her battle with cancer, Saturday, April 16, 2011. Rosary 7 PM Tuesday, Memorial Mass 10 AM Wednesday, both at St. Michael Catholic Church. Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Albert & Irene Martel; and a brother, Richard Martel. Survivors: husband, Thomas; sons, Thomas J. (Judy) Ruge, Belle Plaine, Todd (Elizabeth) Ruge, Buda, TX; daughters, Natalie (Brad) Johnson, Haysville, Michelle (Andy) Garrett, Wichita; brothers, Don Martel, Minneapolis, MN, Arthur Martel, Bismark, ND, and Eugene Martel, Mandan, ND; sisters, Charlene Balla, Broadview, IL, Patricia Haun, Boise, ID, and Linda Hastings, Grand Forks, ND; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. After retirement, Joyce remained active in her community and church, especially activities that centered around the children. A memorial has been established with Victory in the Valley, 3755 E.
