Derby - Ray, Joyce Ann
79, passed away Wednesday, March 27th, 2024. She was born June 4th, 1944 to Herschel Frankenbery and Lucille Cole Frankenbery in Chanute, Kansas.
Joyce graduated from Chanute High School in 1962 and soon began her career in cosmetology. In 1972 she met Mike and they married the following year. Early in their relationship, she enjoyed road trips on the back of Mike's motorcycle and shooting pool. As a devoted mother, she led Becky and Stacie's Girl Scout troops, attended every softball game, and took pleasure in family camping trips. Joyce was known for her love of her children and grandchildren, her devotion to her husband of 50 years, and her joy of crafts, reading, and shopping. Joyce will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her family asks that she is remembered for the joy that she brought to others in life, and not the sadness of her passing.
