Joyce Faye Hamilton passed away Monday, May 4, 2015 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Wellington, Kansas. Joyce was born near Belle Plaine on December 31, 1932 to Walter and Ruth (Griste) Duvall. She was a stay-at-home mom while her kids were young and later spent several years working for Sheplers. She was proud of her children, but especially proud of her grandchildren. Her love language was gift-giving and she was especially good at it. Joyce is survived by her husband of 63 years, Glenn; daughters, Susan Chisolm (James) of Houston, Texas and Sally Hamilton of Belle Plaine; sons, James Hamilton (Bobbie) of Austin, Texas and Scott Hamilton (Melissa) Hamilton of Topeka; grandchildren, Jasmine and Alyssa Hamilton; Ian and Riley Chisolm, Hannah Hamilton, and Victoria, Olivia and William Hamilton. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Bonnie. Viewing: 1-8pm Thursday, Hatfield-Smith Funeral Home. Services will be held Friday, May 8, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Belle Plaine United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are established with Belle Plaine United Methodist Church and Macula Vision Research Foundation. Arrangements with Hatfield-Smith Funeral Home.
