Joshua Randal Price

Dec 24, 1970 — Oct 1, 2026

Joshua Randal Price "Josh", 55, of Derby, Kansas, passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a legacy of service, dedication, and deep love for his family.

Born on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1970, Josh was a lifelong resident of Derby. For more than twenty years, he dedicated his life to protecting others as a Wichita Police Officer.

While Josh's career was important to him, nothing meant more than his family. He was a proud and devoted father and stepfather to Presley Price and Payten Greenwell, and a loving husband to his wife, Kristen Price. His greatest joy came from spending time with those he loved and creating memories that will be cherished forever.

Josh is survived by his wife, Kristen Price; his children, Presley Price and Payten Greenwell; his mother, Sharon Price; his brother, Shane Price and wife Juliann Price; nephews, Jarrett, Jace, and Jayden Price; and his sister, Carrie Steben (Price) and her husband, Ted Steben. He was preceded in death by his Father Fain and Uncle Ronnie Johnson, he will be joining them again on hunting trips and antique tractor shows.

Josh was an avid Elvis Presley fan, naming his daughter after The King. He was also a dedicated Kansas outdoorsman. He especially loved deer hunting on the family's farm near Woodbine, Kansas. The family farm was more than a place to him; it was his sanctuary and happy place. Whether he was working on equipment, improving the property, or simply enjoying the land. He took great pride in tinkering with farm machinery, and pursuing his passion for collecting International Harvester equipment and Cub Cadets.

Josh will be remembered for his steadfast character, quiet strength, sense of humor, and unwavering loyalty to those he loved. His impact on his family, friends, and community will not be forgotten. Though his passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, the memories he created and the lives he touched will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Private family services have been held.

Memorial contributions may be made to his daughters' college fund, c/o Kristen Price, 206 E. Buckthorn, Derby, KS 67037.
