Joseph Edward Gibfried

Gibfried, Joseph, our giving son, brother, uncle, and best friend to all, passed on, March 8, 2012. He was surrounded by his family who loved him more than anyone can describe. Joe gave us forty years of the deepest loyalty, comfort and friendship. His gift of caring and giving was beyond measure. Joe was a caregiver by nature, the peacemaker, and everyone who knew Joe knew he could not say no to those asking for his help. His quick wit, teasing nature and constant smile made him an instant friend to all. Joe’s premature departure from our family is a great loss beyond belief. Considering his unconditional love for us all, we know he will live on in our hearts and walk beside us through all of our trials and tribulations. Please help us in celebrating Joe’s life by joining us for visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby, Kansas, and a Funeral Mass on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Mary Faith Center, 2300 E. Meadowlark, Derby, Kansas.
