Jon Jay Hamilton, 47, of Derby, Kansas passed on Monday, Oct 14, 2024.
He was born on November 10, 1976, the only son of John and Terri (Mann) Hamilton of Reece. He was
educated in Eureka schools and graduated from Eureka Junior/Senior High School with the class of 1995.
After graduation Jay attended Butler Community College in Eldorado and received his certification of welding
which served him well throughout the years.
Jay was united in marriage to Krista (Seifert), on February 21, 2020 and the two made their home in Derby. He
loved deeply and without caution, but adored mostly his wife, Krista, and their five children, Jaqlyn (Hamilton)
Finch, Jayte (Hamilton) Pryce, Cole Ringer, Korbin Hamilton and Blake Ringer and their families. He was
always ready for an adventure and was the first one to encourage others to embrace something new.
His grandchildren were a delight to him and he was so proud to be a grandfather to Khloe, Alyssa, Levi, and
Delilah. Jay loved the outdoors and wildlife and enjoyed sharing it with his children and nieces and nephews,
whenever he could, especially stories of his youth. Jay rededicated his life to God in 2020 at South Rock
Christian Church on Krista and his wedding day.
He is survived by his loving wife, Krista of the home, daughter Jaqlyn (Dustin) Finch of Owensboro, Kentucky;
daughter Jayte (Grayson) Pryce of El Dorado; son Cole Ringer of Haysville, son Blake Ringer of Haysville; son
Korbin Hamilton of Andover; and Jay's mother, Terri (Mann) Hamilton of Eureka, siblings Bridget (Robert)
Strickland of Andover; Staci (Patrick) Seiter of Virgil, Kelli (Chad) Gulick of Piedmont, and grandmother, Mary
(Yost) Mann along with his grandchildren; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and a gaggle of cousins.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Khloe; and father John Hamilton.
Jay will be forever missed and always in our hearts as a kind, jovial friend who was always willing to lend a
helping hand and encouraging word.
