Johnie George Lawless

Johnie George Lawless, of Belle Plane, KS, age 83, retired Boeing Company employee, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2011. Visitation 1-8 PM Friday, December 9, 2011, Hatfield-Smith Funeral Home 219 W. 2nd. Funeral service 2 PM Saturday, Belle Plaine United Methodist Church. Johnie is preceded in death by his parents, Emmett & Bertha Lawless; his stepmother, Lorena Lawless; and a sister, Vona Jean Bates. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Joan; daughters, Linda (Jim) Stinnett, of Belle Plaine, Betty (Jerry) Blevins, of Brighton, TN, and Carol (Ed) Elsass, of Wellington; brothers, Gary, of Wichita, LaVerne, of Mulvane, Donald, of Kansas City, MO, and Lindley, of Belle Plaine; sisters, Shirley Shetlar, of Wichita, and Theda Wylie, of Derby; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Memorials have been established with Rivercross Hospice and Carpenter Place
