John W. Showalter

John Showalter, age 73, passed away June 29, 2015. Funeral service 11am Saturday, July 4th with visitation 5-8pm Friday, both at Smith Family Mortuary-Mulvane, 501 S.E. Louis Blvd. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carroll and Velma Showalter; daughter, Sandra DeMeyer; brothers, Dave and Charles. John is survived by his wife, Rita; daughter, Tammy (Lawrence) Cole; son-in-law, Chuck DeMeyer; sister, Yvonne Fadely; brother, Fred Showalter; grandchildren, Jeffery (Stephanie) Stockton, Austin Cole, Allison DeMeyer, Charles DeMeyer; great-grandson, Carter Stockton; and loving extended family. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with the Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, KS 67219.
