John Donald Hudson

John Donald Hudson, 93, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a lasting legacy of love, service, and devotion to his family and community.

John was born on November 22, 1932, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, to William and Gracie Hudson. He proudly served his country during the Korean War. After his military service, he devoted an impressive 44 years to aviation building, servicing, and inspecting military and commercial aircraft, a career that reflected his passion, dedication, and strong work ethic.

John was also a proud member of the Midian Shriners, where he valued fellowship and the opportunity to serve alongside others.

On March 20, 1950, John married Opal Tomlinson. Together, they were blessed with three daughters.

Above all, John treasured his family and friends and valued the time he spent making memories with those he loved. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, sharing stories, and making every gathering special. He especially loved taking his children to amusement parks, bringing them great joy and creating memories they would carry throughout their lives. He also looked forward to attending state fairs and enjoying their sights, sounds, and traditions. John's kindness, wisdom, humor, and generous spirit touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

John is survived by his daughters, Debbie, Karla, and Linda; his seven grandchildren, Michael, Tamara, Amber, Steven, Ashley, Kelsey, and Sydney; and his twelve great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Kaylee, Nicholas, Jayden, Jaxson, Juddson, Hunter, Parker, Diesel, Able, Phoebe, and Mila.

John's life was defined by service, adventure, friendship, and family. He leaves behind not only beautiful memories, but also a lasting legacy that will continue through his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Rest peacefully, John. Your memory, your stories, and the love you shared will live on forever in the hearts of your family and friends.
