In Loving Memory of John Harold Green, 93 years old.
December 3, 1931 - May 18, 2025
John was born on December 3, 1931, in Star City, Arkansas, to Clarence and Eva White Green. He proudly served in the United States Navy from July 21, 1950, to May 19, 1954, during the Korean War aboard the USS Seminole. His service was recognized with multiple honors, including the National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, China Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, and Good Conduct Medal.
On September 3, 1954, John married Lucinda Taylor. After his time in the Navy, John and Lucinda moved to Wichita, Kansas. In August of 1973, he purchased a farm outside of Douglass, Kansas, where he lived the remainder of his days.
John was preceded in death by his beloved wife Lucinda, his parents Clarence and Eva, his sister Betty Holmes, his brother Edgar Green, and his grandson Victor Oliver.
He is survived by his daughter, Madelyn Oliver; his #1 son, Shelby Green, and favorite daughter-in-law Shawna (Valentine); grandchildren: Taylor Oliver Kuykendall (Dustin), Clara Oliver Turner (Jack), Lauren Green Page (Terry), Zoey Green Biechler (Reagan), and Zachary Green; and seven great-grandchildren: Colton, Corbyn, Easton, and Emmett Page, Madi Kuykendall, Russell Biechler, and Lucas Turner.
