John Hobart Eaglin

July 20, 1933 — February 17, 2021

John H. Eaglin Jr., 87 of Haysville, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2021. He was born July 20, 1933 the son of John Hobart and Bertha Fay (Snyder) Eaglin in Grenola, Kansas. John was a retired US Air Force TSGT, serving 21 years, and retired City of Haysville Director of Public Works. Visitation 1-8 p.m. Monday, February 22, Smith Mortuary, 7031 S. Broadway, Haysville. Funeral services 3 p.m. Tuesday, February 23, at True Life Church, 4400 S. Hoover Rd., Wichita. John was a devoted father and grandfather who loved horses, rodeos, and all things country. John enjoyed attending community events in Haysville and Grenola, and was an active member of True Life Church in Wichita. John was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Imelda Eaglin; parents, John and Bertha Eaglin Sr.; brothers, Wayne and Merlin Eaglin. He is survived by his son John F. Eaglin (Penne); daughter Rebecca Belt (Kevin); sisters Janice Isom (Wally), and Joyce Black (Kim); grandchildren, Andrew and Daniel Belt. A memorial has been established with the Grenola Elevator Museum, Grenola, KS 67346.
