John E. Collins

Collins, John Elmer, 93, peacefully at his home on Thursday, November 28th, 2024, in Derby. He was born August 28th, 1931 to Kenneth and Margaret Collins in Parsons, Kansas.

John was a retired Air Force veteran and retired from Beech Aircraft as an Inspector. He enjoyed traveling, exploring, camping, meeting new people, sharing his life long stories and the word of our Lord.

Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret; grandson and 3 great grandchildren. Survivors include his 3 children, all of Derby; 8 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

Visitation is 5:00 to 7:00 pm Wednesday, December 4th, 2024 and funeral service is 2:00 pm, Thursday, December 5th, 2024 both at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 North Rock Road, Derby, Kansas 67037. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
