Belle Plaine – Bowlby, John L. “Jack”, age 69, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2011. Visitation 1-8pm Monday with family present 6-8pm; funeral service 1pm Tuesday both at Smith Mortuary 1415 N. Rock Road, Derby. Jack was preceded in death by his father, Jack O. Bowlby; son, John Russell Bowlby; brother, Tom E. Bowlby. He is survived by his mother, Mable Bowlby; wife of 26 years, Nancy Bowlby; daughters, Karen Fuller and Cheri Gehlen; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Velma (Don) Howell; 3 nephews.
