John Willard Baumfalk, of Derby, age 78, Sam’s Club employee and retired McLeods store manager, passed away Friday, August 5, 2011. Visitation 1-8 pm Monday with family receiving friends 5-7 pm, Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Funeral service 1 PM Tuesday, August 9, 2011, Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 600 N. Greenwich Rd., Wichita. John is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas & Dorothy Baumfalk; and a sister, Sylvia Wade. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Lorraine; his daughters and sons-in-law, Roxann Baumfalk-Lee and husband, John Lee, Wichita, Kaylee Harris and husband, James, Great Falls, MT, and Stephanie Baumfalk and husband, John Axtell, Wichita; sister, Vonnie Monrad, Omaha, NE; grandchildren, Stephanie, John and James; several nieces and nephews.
