Mulvane - Wilson, Joe A, 84, retired Machinist at Boeing entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 27, 2024. He was born January 9, 1940 to Joseph and Ruth Wilson in Wichita, Kansas.
Joe loved the outdoors and had many hobbies that kept him outside. He was an avid purple martin watcher, putting up many birdhouses at home and the homes of his children. He was also a master gardener, growing everything from potatoes to tomatoes, beans, beets, corn, peas, cucumbers, lettuce, cabbage and strawberries - he fed his own family with homegrown food, and later in life shared the fruits of his efforts with neighbors and others in need. He also enjoyed fishing, riding his bicycle, snow skiing, and traveling with his family and friends, and could often be found watching his favorite baseball and basketball teams on television, particularly the Kansas City Royals, KU, and Wichita State.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Carolyn Mason, and wife, Mary Lou Wilson. Joe is survived by his children, Melissa Siruta (Kent), Greg Wilson (Cathi), Mark Wilson, Denise Woods (Mark), Chris Damitz (Jeff); brother, Lloyd (Judy), sisters, Nancy, Judy (Jerry), grandchildren, Loree Reinert, Brandon Siruta, Courtney Parsons, Stephanie Duncan, Ashley Koppelmann, Blake Wilson, Jordan Wilson, Eric Woods, Emily Woods; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Austin, Aubree, Avery, Mason, Jade, Lane, Kyrie, Elliot, Breyer, and Myles.
