Joe Martinez, Jr., age 55, passed away Friday, March 16, 2012. Visitation 1-5 PM Monday, Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Vigil service 7 PM Monday, Funeral Mass 10 AM Tuesday, March 20, 2012, both at St. Mary Faith Center, 2300 E. Meadowlark, Derby. Joe was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council in Derby. He is preceded in death by his nephew Matthew Westerman. Survivors: his parents, Joe, Sr. & Josephine Martinez; brothers, Albert (Pam), of Wichita, and Andrew, of Sapulpa, OK; sisters, Delly (Jeff) Baron, of Augusta, CO, and Mary (Tom) Caudell, of Derby; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
