Joan L. Underwood

Joan L. Underwood, 94, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2018. She was born January 23, 1924 to Claude and Gertrude (Johannes) DeWitt in Ransom, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd Underwood; and sisters, Elaine Arensman and Ruth Guettsche. Joan is survived by her children, Michael (Barbara) Underwood and Linda (Terry) McGuire; grandchildren, Ted (Brandi) Underwood, Charles (Jennifer) Underwood, Gina (DeWayne) Bond, Jason (Shea) McGuire, Laura (Brad) Canfield, and Melissa Bade; great-grandchildren, Chelsey (Aaron) Hoover, Bailey Underwood, Austin Underwood, Jake Underwood, Tenley Canfield, Bryson Canfield, Aryanna McGuire, and Gabriel Bade; great-great granddaughter, Olivia Hoover; and brother, Claude DeWitt, Jr. Visitation: Sunday, March 18, 2018, from 3 to 8 pm with family present between 5 to 7 pm. Funeral: 10 am, Monday, March 19, 2018, both at Smith Mortuary Mulvane Chapel, 501 SE Louis Blvd., Mulvane, KS 67110. Interment to follow at 1 pm at Fairlawn Burial Park in Hutchinson, KS.
