Joan Smith

Joan E. Smith, age 84, retired Executive Secretary for The Boeing Company, and longtime volunteer at the Lord's Diner, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022. Joan is preceded in death by her husband, Dean; son, Greg; parents, Dave and Mary Galyardt; brothers, Gary, Vernon, Ronnie and Donnie Galyart; and her sister, Henrietta Cupps. Survivors include her son, Jeffery (Teresa); grandchildren, Tiffany VanDerBom (Daniel), Tyler Breese (Bri), Wesley Smith and Lindsey Smith; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, London, Madison and Rowan; many nieces and nephews plus a host of friends and loved ones. A memorial has been established with Gospel Assembly, 4230 N. Oliver, Wichita, KS 67220.
