Mulvane - Fletcher, Joan

79, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021. She was born February 12, 1942 to Sammie Proctor and Harriet "Croley" Proctor in Stilwell, Oklahoma.

Joan retired from Cessna Aircraft as a secretary after 25 years. She was a former member of the National Arabian Horse Association and a current member of Mulvane Marauders Car Club. Joan is a member of the Cherokee Nation and took a lot of pride in her heritage. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jerrie Ann Kellogg; sister, Jewell (Charlie) Houser; sister-in-law, Sherry Proctor; and father, Sammie Proctor; mother, Harriet (Proctor) Haynes.

Joan is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jerry Fletcher; children, Julie (Brian) Morrill of Haysville, R.C. (Brenda) Smith of Wichita, Beau Smith of Mulvane, and Kristina Johnson of Derby; brother, Sammie Proctor; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Monday, March 15, 2021, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with family present from 5-7pm at Smith Mortuary - Mulvane 501 SE Louis Blvd. Mulvane, KS 67110. Funeral Service: 1:00 pm, Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Smith Mortuary - Mulvane. Interment to follow at Mulvane Cemetery.
