Joan Brown

Rose Hill - Brown, Joan, 86, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2011. Visitation 1-8 PM Wednesday, November 9, with the family present 5-7 PM, Service 10 AM Thursday, November 10 both at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Survivors: sons, Doug (Carol) of Wichita; Rod (Michele) of Oklahoma City; Tyler (Denise) of Smithville, MO.; grandchildren, Jason, Ryan, Molly, Morgan & Emily; great-grandchild, Holly; nieces, Gaynor (Dave) & Linda in the UK; and numerous other nephews and nieces. Preceded in death by her parents Ernest & Clara Welsher; husband, Francis; sister, Madge; brother, Reg; and a grandson Rhett. Joan was not only a caregiver to her family she had been employed at Boeing and was very involved in the day to day operations and success of the TYRODO Corral with "Brownie & the Boys". In her later years she was a member of the Rose Hill Senior Center and the Red Hats. In lieu of flowers memorials have been established with Susan G. Komen For the Cure, 1148 S.
