Jo Ann Breaker

Jo Ann Breaker, 83, passed away on April 3, 2016. Visitation Wednesday, April 13; funeral 10 a.m. Thursday, April 14, both at Smith Mortuary, 501 SE Louis Blvd., Mulvane. She was born Jo Ann Turkle on Nov. 13, 1932, in Sedgwick County, KS, to Frank and Vera Muriel Bradfield Turkle. Jo Ann Breaker was more than just a mother and housewife, as she devoted her life to her family and husband. She supported and involved herself in most everything that her husband of some 67 years endeavored. Jo Ann mostly spent her life lifting up the man she loved so dearly and vowed to cherish all those years ago. Preceded in death by a son, Dannie Breaker; a brother, Tommy Turkle; and a sister, Jean Yoakum. Survivors: husband of 67 years, Darvin Breaker; children, Darvin Breaker, III and wife, Marybell, C.J. Bailey and husband, Michael and Michael Breaker; grandchildren, Darvin IV, Matthew, Catie, Donovan and Michael II. 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Frances Christian, Lindy Chamberlin and Mary Jane Erickson; and a brother, James Turkle.
