Ybarra, Jesus "Jesse" Age 92, retired Master Sergeant, United States Air Force, passed away Monday October 21, 2024.
Visitation 5pm - 7pm Monday, October 28, 2024 Smith Mortuary, 501 SE Louis Blvd, Mulvane, KS. Recitation of the Rosary 9:30am, Mass of Christian Burial 10am, both on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at St Michael's Catholic Church, 545 E Main, Mulvane, KS. Graveside service with full military honors 1pm Tuesday, October 29, 2024, Kansas Veterans' Cemetery, 1208 N College, Winfield, KS.
Jesse was born February 21, 1932 in Wellington KS to Victoriano & Florentina Ybarra. He married Mary Pineda December 29, 1951 in Medford OK. Jesse is preceded in death by his wife Mary, his parents, siblings Mary Vierya, Galdino, Frank, John, Pete, Mercedes Cornejo, Benny, Joe, and Al.
Jesse is survived by his sons Gerald Ybarra (Julie) of Wichita, KS and Jesse Ybarra, Jr. (Kathy) of Augusta, KS; brother Paul Ybarra, sister-in-law Phyllis Ybarra, both of Wellington, KS; Grandchildren Dawn, Katy (Brice), Toni, Joel (Brandy), Adam (Jackie), Alecia (Paul), and Carla (Howard); Great-grandchildren Trevon, Kelvin, Kaylan, Easton, Ensley, Daniel, Morgan, Ethan, Hallie, Ella, Amelia, Tony (Michelle), Darren, Cameron (Amethyst), Camren, Destinee (Emmanuel), Candyce, and Caila; Great-great-grandchildren; Lukas, Bella, Alano, Octavia, and Peyton, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jesse was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Jesse was most proud of his 20 plus years serving in the U.S. Air Force.
Memorials have been established with the U.S.O. United Service Organization serving the military, and Kanas Honor Flight.
