Jerry Eugene Kimzey

Jerry Eugene Kimzey, age 82, went to be with his Lord, June 15, 2016. He was born March 31, 1934, in Longton, KS, to Carl and Rosalie (Marquardt) Kimzey. Jerry married Melba Condon at Elk Falls, KS on December 25, 1954. He retired from Cessna in 1997, after 42 years of service in sheet metal assembly. Visitation 1-8, with the family to receive friends from 6-8 Friday, June 24, 2016 at Smith Mortuary, Derby. Funeral 10am Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Midway Baptist Church, 5135 S. Broadway, Wichita. Graveside service 3pm Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Longton Cemetery, rural Longton, KS. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Carl "LeRoy" Kimzey, and brother-in-law, Bob Catron. Survivors: wife, Melba Kimzey; daughters, Teresa "Michelle" Moore (Mike), Charlene Alexander, and Jerri Smith; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, LaVada Smoot (Carl) and Evelyn Catron; sister-in-law, Marilyn Kimzey.
